The area between the cottage and the lake is grassy and flat, while the area behind the cottage is forest and more mountainous.

The roof has been re-done since this photo was taken, but it is the same colour.
The road into the cottage from the locked gate is only used by the cottagers along this peninsula, so it is a great place for a walk.
